Get Started: Create Your Share Council Account for the Price of a Cup of Coffee ☕

For just €3 you can create your Share Council account, become a small shareholder, and unlock free access to manage your company’s ownership digitally. Here’s everything you need to know, in 7 simple steps.

Step 1 — Visit the Price of a cup of coffee

Here you’ll see:

  • An explanation of the “cup of coffee” offer.

  • The option to buy 10 depository receipts (shares) in Share Council.

  • The total price: €3.

This is your ticket into the platform.

Step 2 — Register Your Details

Before you can pay, you’ll need to create your account. The form will ask for:

  • Name (your full legal name)

  • Email address (this will also be your login)

  • Password (choose something strong and unique)

  • Date of birth

  • Address (needed for compliance and shareholder registry)

Once completed, you’re almost ready to join.

Step 3 — Pay €3 and Receive Shares

Now it’s time to pay.

  • Choose your payment method

  • Confirm the transaction.

 What you get in return:

  • 10 shares in Share Council (worth €0.30 each).

  • Access to the platform at no extra cost.

Think of it as a membership fee, but with shares instead of a receipt.

Step 4 — Redirected to the Platform

Once the payment is processed, you’ll be sent directly to the Share Council platform.

This means:

  • Your account is created automatically.

  • You’re officially part of the Share Council community.

🎉 Welcome on board!

Step 5 — Secure Your Account with 2FA

For safety, we require two-factor authentication (2FA):

  1. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app

  2. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app.

  3. Save your recovery codes somewhere secure (not in your email).

Why this matters:
🔒 2FA ensures only you can log in, even if someone else has your password.

Step 6 — Register Your Company (Create a Circle)

Now you’re inside the platform, you can create a digital environment for your company.

  1. Go to the Circles section.

  2. Click Register → New Company.

  3. Fill in your company details (name, description, and optional Chamber of Commerce/KvK number).

Step 7 — Create Your First Portfolio (Cap Table)

Your Circle needs a portfolio — this is where shares are registered and ownership is tracked.

At the top of the page, you will see it saying circle. Press on that and then you will be able to see your company and share council circle as you have some shares with the company

  1. Inside your Circle, click Create New Portfolio.

  2. Select Shares (the free version only supports normal shares).

  3. Enter the total number of shares your company has (e.g., 1,200).

  4. Add shareholders

  5. Allocate shares through transactions (e.g., 600 to you, 200 to your co-founder, etc.).
